Each kit contains:
• MTS Solution (G109A, 1 x 20 ml)
• PMS Solution (G110A, 1 x 1 ml)
A homogeneous, colorimetric method to determine number of viable cells in proliferation, cytotoxicity or chemosensitivity assays. MTS is bioreduced by cells to a formazan product that is soluble in tissue culture medium. The absorbance of the formazan product at 490nm can be measured directly from 96-well assay plates without additional processing. The assay is composed of solutions of a novel tetrazolium compound and an electron coupling reagent PMS.
