The CellTiter-Blue® assay: homogeneous (adding single reagent directly to cells), fluorescent method for monitoring cell viability. It's based on the ability of living cells to convert a resazurin into a fluorescent resorufin. Nonviable cells rapidly lose metabolic capacity and thus do not generate a fluorescent signal.
