Achieve single-stranded DNA quantification using the Qubit ssDNA Assay Kit with any fluorometer or plate reader. Simply dilute the reagent using the buffer provided, add your sample, and read the concentration using a Qubit or other fluorometer. The assay detects oligonucleotides or long ssDNA, and common contaminants such as salts, solvents, detergents, and protein are well tolerated. Nucleotides and short oligonucleotides of six bases or fewer do not interfere in this quantitation assay.
The Qubit ssDNA Assay Kit is designed specifically for use with the Qubit Fluorometer, but can be used with any fluorometer or fluorescence plate reader. The Qubit ssDNA kit is ideal for quantitating single-stranded DNA or oligonucleotides. However, it is not specific for single-stranded DNA. This assay kit will also detect double-stranded DNA and RNA, but it will not detect contaminating protein or nucleotides. The assay is designed to be accurate for initial sample concentrations from 50 pg/μL to 200 ng/μL, enabling an assay range of 1–200 ng.
