The ATLab @ IMCB is providing human induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) derivation service. These hiPSCs retain the same genetic makeup of the human donor and can be differentiated into a variety of desired human cells.

 

 

 

Service Pipeline

 

 

1. Reprogramming human somatic cells (e.g. skin fibroblasts or PBMCs) using Sendai virus method

  • Customer needs to have an approved  IRB  prior to commencement of service
  • Service takes 2 – 3 months to complete
  • Cells will be verified to be mycoplasma-free prior to handing over to customer
  • iPSCs will be handed over to customer in a 6wp as live cells (feeder-free; 1 cell line per well)
  • 2 frozen vials per line will also be provided
  • All human primary cells and iPSCs generated will be returned to customer upon completion of order
 

2. Characterisation services (customized service; charges to be determined separately after consultation)

A. IHC for pluripotency markers: OCT4, SOX2, NANOG, SSEA4 and TRA-1-60; nuclear staining: DAPI. Scale bar 50 μm

B. Karyogram of human somatic cell-derived iPSC.

C. Haematoxylin and eosin staining of in vivo-derived teratoma sections from iPSC.
    Left to right: intestinal-like epithelium (Definitive Endoderm); cartilage (Mesoderm) and neuronal rosette (Ectoderm).
